Milan Men’s Fashion Week officially opened with Valentino men's show "The Narratives". With bright colors and soft proportioning, designer Pierpaolo Piccioli rejected the tradition of harsh, dark, and angular for menswear. In a press-conference after the show, he summed up his vision thusly: “The signifiers of power and success have so far defined the idea of masculinity, but I believe that true power and strength are about the freedom to show your own fragility and sensitivity.” Models Isak Jawo and Naman Narnolia embody this vision, as gentle grey and beige are accented with vibrant yellow and teal. The show was made possible with stylist Joe McKenna, hair stylist Guido Palau, makeup artist Pat Mcgrath, and casting directors Carlo Savoldi and Patrizia Pilotti.
